LEIGH VANDENBERG, RNFA

Leigh Vandenberg is a highly experienced and accomplished nurse, with over 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Leigh's career began in 1978, and since 1981, she has worked in the OR, including 30 years of service in the Army Nurse Corps, where she worked all over the world. Leigh has been an assist since her Army days and obtained her RNFA in 2014. When she's not at work, Leigh enjoys gardening, quilting, cooking, and making soap. She is a proud wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and shares her home with her 110-pound Bull Mastiff named Maddie. Leigh is known for her sense of humor and enjoys sharing humorous stories with her colleagues. With her vast experience and warm personality, Leigh is a valuable asset to any surgical team.

TIFF LOESCH, RNFA

Tiffanie Loesch is an experienced and dedicated nurse who has been working in the healthcare industry for over 14 years. Tiffanie started her nursing career in 2007, after graduating from nursing school. She began working in the OR at Sierra Surgery Hospital, which is now Carson Tahoe Hospital. In 2017, Tiffanie completed her RNFA from NIFA, further enhancing her skills and knowledge. She has experience in scrubbing and assisting GYN, General, ENT, Urology, and some Ortho cases. Tiffanie's commitment to her patients led her to start taking OB call and assisting C-sections with the Carson group about a year ago. She is passionate about her job and is always looking for opportunities to grow and improve her skills. With her experience and dedication, Tiffanie is an asset to any surgical team.

AAREN PORTEUR, RNFA

Aaren Porteur is an experienced registered nurse and registered nurse first assistant who has been working in the healthcare industry for over a decade. Since 2009, Aaren has been providing high-quality care to patients in various healthcare settings, including Sierra Surgery Hospital and Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. With her extensive experience, Aaren is able to assist in a wide range of surgical procedures, including General, Vascular, Orthopedics, Spine, ENT, Urology, and Plastics, as well as OB/GYN procedures. For almost 5 years, Aaren has helped cover C-Section call at CTRMC, making her highly skilled in assisting with deliveries. Aaren is committed to providing compassionate care to all of her patients and takes pride in ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the surgical process. KRISTY TORRES, SA-C 

Kristy Torres is a highly experienced surgical scrub and assistant with over 19 years of experience in the field. She has worked in a variety of specialties, including ENT, Plastics, General, OB/Gyn, Urology, and Ortho, and is dedicated to providing exceptional care to every patient she works with. Kristy is fluent in both English and Spanish, and her passion for helping others is evident in her commitment to her work. With her expertise and caring approach, Kristy is eager to assist one patient at a time.

KIM WILSON, CSFA

Kim Wilson is a highly skilled surgical professional with over 16 years of experience in scrubbing and 11 years in assisting. Kim began her career as an L&D tech and has 3 years of experience in assisting in C-sections. Her current specialty is Ortho, but she also has experience in most other areas of surgery. Kim is passionate about her work and enjoys collaborating with everyone she works with. With her expertise and dedication to her craft, Kim is committed to providing exceptional care to every patient she assists.

TRACY HOUSTON, CST, CSFA

Tracy Houston is a skilled surgical professional with a diverse range of experience across multiple specialties. Tracy graduated from the Surgical Technologist Program at Sanford Brown Institute in 2007 and later earned a degree in Surgical Assisting from Meridian Institute in 2017. Tracy began her career at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, where she worked for 5 years and specialized in Transplants and Robotics. Since moving to Reno in 2017, Tracy has worked at Renown and Saint Mary’s in the OR and Labor and Delivery, expanding her expertise to include Trauma, Vascular/Endovascular, Cardio-Thoracic, Burns, OB/GYN, Urology, Orthopedics, and Neurology. With her wealth of experience and dedication to her craft, Tracy is committed to providing exceptional care to every patient she assists.

KERRY SWECKER, CSFA

Kerry Schroeder-Swecker is a compassionate and highly skilled Surgical First Assistant with over 25 years of experience in caring for people professionally. Kerry's career began as a surgical tech in Labor and Delivery, and for the last 14 years, she has been working alongside some of the top doctors in the community as a Surgical First Assistant. Kerry specializes in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and also has extensive experience in General, Ortho, and GYN. With her love for what she does and her commitment to her patients, Kerry strives to ensure the best possible outcome for each patient she encounters.
